Jakarta, October 16, 2026 – Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Bogor (STP Bogor) actively participated in the Indonesia Muslim Friendly Tourism Summit (IMFTS) 2026 held at Assembly Hall 1–2, Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC). The event, part of the broader Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF), carried the theme “Strengthening the Muslim-Friendly Tourism Ecosystem Toward Indonesia as a Global Islamic Economy Hub.” STP Bogor’s presence underscored its commitment to aligning academic excellence with national strategies for halal tourism development.
The summit brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and experts to address key challenges in converting Indonesia’s vast Muslim tourism potential into actual visits. With projections indicating 262 million international Muslim travelers by 2030 and an estimated annual spending of US$310 billion, discussions focused on enhancing digital readiness, service quality, and destination competitiveness. A major highlight was the official release of the Indonesia Muslim Travel Index (IMTI) 2026, a collaborative assessment by the Ministry of Tourism, Bank Indonesia, CrescentRating, and Enhaii Halal Tourism Center using the ACES framework (Access, Communication, Environment, Services) to evaluate provincial preparedness.
STP Bogor was represented by Chairperson Dina Hariani, S.Hum., M.Par., Ph.D., and lecturer Dr. Pipin Noviati Sadikin, S.S., S.PWK., M.M. Their participation ensured that academic insights informed policy dialogues, particularly regarding curriculum relevance and workforce readiness for the halal hospitality sector. The IMTI 2026 findings will serve as a critical reference for updating course content and applied research at STP Bogor, ensuring graduates are equipped with current global standards in Muslim-friendly services.
Discussions also emphasized the transformative role of AI in travel planning, noting that 80% of tourists now use AI assistants like MaiA on the Wonderful Indonesia platform. STP Bogor’s engagement opens avenues for faculty and students to contribute to digital content creation that is accurate, inspirational, and actionable, aligning with modern customer journey expectations.
This active involvement reflects STP Bogor’s dedication to high-quality education in hotel management and tourism. With highly qualified lecturers engaged in national policy forums, the institution ensures its programs remain industry-aligned, a key factor behind its remarkable track record of 90% graduate employment before commencement. Prospective students seeking such proven outcomes can now register for Batch 55 (starting February 2027) or take advantage of early booking for Batch 56 (August 2027) via pmb.stpbogor.ac.id or WhatsApp at 0811-1162-647.
