Dr. Paul Willie

He started working in the hotel industry at the age of 15 in the historic Fairmont Hotel Macdonald located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Dr. Willie has held a variety of management positions and has provided professional services to governments and corporations in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, The Cayman Islands, Ecuador, Jamaica, Mexico, Florida, and Guyana.
Dr. Willie holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Hotel and Food Administration, an MBA with a Hospitality Management concentration and a Doctorate Degree in International Business. Complimenting his University degrees, Dr. Willie also holds eight professional certifications. From 2015 to 2019 he served as President for the Ontario Chapter of the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) association which has about 5,000 members worldwide. He has authored/coauthored numerous journal articles, text books, webinars, podcasts, and has served on a variety of tourism related boards.
His wife Lesley Thompson-Willie is an eight time Olympian for Canada. She has won five Olympic medals and several world championships in the sport of rowing. She has been honored in the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame, The Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame, The City of London Sports Hall of Fame, and The University of Western Ontario Sports Hall of Fame.

Dr. Frans Teguh went through the year of 1985 until 1989 and gained the scholarship from UNDP – World Bank for Tourism Education, by 1995 graduated from Bandung Institute of Tourism, majored in Tourism Management Program, in 1997 completed the Master of Arts in Tourism and Hospitality Management in Bournemouth University, England, and in 2012 had finished Doctoral degree for Tourism with the achievement of Cum Laude Yudisium.
Related to the educational background, Dr. Frans Teguh possesses the field of expertise of Tourism Methodology from ILO Training, Turin-Italy in 1991, Tourism Management from University of Waterloo, Canada in 1994, Tourism Competency Standards from MICE Training, Melbourne-Australia in 2001, Ecotourism Management, Thailand in 2008, Tourism Management from MICE Training, China in 2009, and DMO Management Training in 2011.
Dr. Frans Teguh went on several special assignments for Focal Point for Sustainable Tourism Practices – GIZ from 2015 until 2017, Country Coordinator ASTA in 2017, National Representative GSTC from 2016 until 2018, National Coordinator of Tourism Program for DMO Project in Cooperation between Indonesia with Swiss Government from 2014 until 2017, Team Master of GIPI from 2019 until 2024, Program Coordinator of DMO/DG, Ministry of Tourism from 2010 until 2016, and Program Coordinator of Sustainable Development in Tourism in 2010.
Dr. Frans Teguh had surpassed numerous exclusive positions started from Lecturer in Bandung Institute of Tourism, Deputy Assistant for Investment and Design, Deputy Assistant for Ecosystem and Infrastructure Development, Deputy Assistant for Strategic Management, Secretary of Indonesia Sustainable Council, Deputy Head of Authority Board, Labuan Bajo – Flores, Staff Advisor for Ministry of Maritime, Deputy Head of Institution and Resource and Staff Advisor for Ministry of Sustainable Development and Conservation.
Dr. Frans Teguh had also published various creations of books for learning process, interpretation, guidance, brief introductory, management, and business model.
At the current moment, Dr. Frans Teguh resides in the area of Gunung Putri, Bogor, and still actively as the Founder/Chairman of Center for Integrated Sustainable Management Studies on Tourism, Environment, and Social Development (CISTES), and also the Chairman of Volunteer Tourism/Voluntourism Network (Vtnet) from 2011 until now

Dr. Mohd Hafiz Mohd Hanafiah

Dr Hafiz is an active author; authoring and co-authoring more than thirty research paper, mostly indexed by Scopus and Web of Science. His Google Scholar curriculum vitae lists more than 100 peer-reviewed articles with more than 400 citations around the world. Besides an avid writer, he is active as a reviewer, reviewing articles from top-notch journals such as the Journal of Travel Research, Tourism Management, and Tourism Economics. He is also a Certified Hotel Industry Analyst.
He is currently the Managing Editor of Journal of Tourism, Hotel, and Culinary Arts, one of the highly indexed tourism-based journals in Malaysia. Besides that, He is the the Editor of Hospitality and Tourism Management and Asia-Pacific Journal of Innovation in Hospitality and Tourism (Scopus-indexed journals). He is also active in organising conferences; he instituted the International Hospitality and Tourism Conference (IHTC) brand in 2012. The IHTC brand was extended in 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020 which contributed more than 300 Scopus and ERA indexed articles.
