Related to the institutional capacity development program and Human Resources (HR) of tourism, the Government Tourism Office of Buton Regency – Southeast Celebes held a Natural Tourism Guide Training (Trekking Guide) in Lambusango Village, Kapontori Sub-district of Buton Regency – Southeast Celebes. This training was conducted for 3 (three) days on 29, 30 September and 1 October 2021, with three resourceful persons namely Dhanik Puspita Sari., SST.Par., M.Pd., M.Par (Head of Tour & Travel Business Undergraduate Study Program), Samuel, SST.Par., MM.Par and Wildan Rizky Rahadian, S.Par., MM.Par who are Lecturers of Tourism at Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Bogor.
This training was also attended by the Regent of Buton, Drs. La Barky, M.Si and Acting Head of the Government Tourism Office Rusdi Nudi, S.Pd., M.Pd as a form of governmental supports for the tourism activities carried out in order to improve the skills and knowledge of human resources as Natural Tourism Guides, which were attended by 40 participants.
In this case, materials related to Natural Tourism Scouting (Trekking) were also presented, such as planning and preparing for mountain tourism trips, recognizing and guiding tourists, orienting the terrain and weather, handling mountain hazards, interpretation skills in guiding mountain tours, organizing mountaineering tours for new normal of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19), as well as conducting natural tourism guiding practices in the Lambusango Natural Forest.
