Maidar Simanihuruk, SST Par., M.Pd., M.Par. She earned an Associate Degree of hospitality from the Trisakti Tourism Academy in Jakarta, where she majored in Hospitality in 1994, and a Bachelor Degree in Hospitality from the Trisakti School of Tourism in Jakarta, where she majored in Hotel Management in 2007. Indraprasta University PGRI (UNINDRA) awarded her a Master Degree (S2), Master of English Education in 2015. She received her Master of Tourism (S2) from the Trisakti School of Tourism, with a minor in Hospitality & Tourism Marketing in 2018. From 1994 through 2006, she worked in the Ibis Kemayoran Hotel and the Mercure Kuta Bali Hotel, accumulating about 12 years of hotel experience. From 2010 to the present as a lecturer at Bogor School of Tourism, she has taught Front Office Operations, Supervisory Management, Room Division Management, Marketing for Hospitality & Tourism, Introduction of Hospitality & Tourism, and Hospitality Management.

She has certificate of competence: Certificate of Assessor of Competency Test as Assessor for Hospitality and Cruise Ship Level III (Room Division) from Ministry of Education and Culture Directorate General of C o u r s e a n d T r a i n i n g , Competent in the area of Workplace Assessment With Qualification / Competency : “Assessor of Competency” on behalf Indonesian Professional Certification Authority (BNSP), Competent in the area of Front Office With Qualification / Competency : “Front Office Supervisor”, Competent in the area of Front Office With Qualification / Competency: “Service Excellent” on behalf Indonesian Professional Certification Authority (BNSP), and Competent in the area of Non-fiction Book Writing With Qualification / Competency : “Non-fiction Book Writer” On Behalf Indonesian Professional Certification Authority (BNSP),

Currently as Head of Diploma IV Hospitality Study Program Bogor School of Tourism since 2016 – present. She also provided counseling with the theme “SAPTA PESONA” (Cleanliness) to Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) at Cimande Tourism Village (September 2020) and Sukajadi Tourism Village (October 2020) as an instructor/presenter. Instructors with the theme “Handling Complaint” to LIPPI Staff and “Basic Hospitality” to Soil & Agriculture Museum Staff, Bogor (November, 2019). Technical Guidance Instructor, as CHSE Speaker for Front Office Resto and CHSE Speaker for Hotel Concierge (Nov, 2020). Several papers have been published in proceedings, DOAJ, and Nationally Accredited journals. Active in community service activities such as giving socialization at Bogor Regency’s Tourism Village Development Assistance.
